HBH Welcomes Isis Williams to our Growing Team
(PHILADELPHIA, PA) - Horsey, Buckner & Heffler (HBH), a minority-controlled accounting firm, is proud to announce its newest addition Isis Williams as Executive Director. With over 15 years of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls experience, Isis is responsible for assisting in the overall strategic direction of the firm’s assurance and accounting practice.
“We are thrilled to continue to grow our team with the addition of Isis in the Executive Director role,” said Kia Buckner, CPA, CGMA, Managing Partner of HBH. “She has extensive experience in providing assurance and advisory services and we look forward to the skills and thought leadership she will bring to Horsey, Buckner & Heffler.”
Prior to joining HBH, Isis spent three years with a Delaware County Regional firm and nine years with a member firm of Ernst & Young Global Limited, Mitchell & Titus, LLP, auditing not‐for‐profit and government entities, including those required to report under yellow book and Uniform Guidance regulations. Isis’ diverse background also includes advisory services for various state & local government clients, audits of social service organizations, banking and capital markets, and employee benefit plans. In the private sector, Isis worked for companies such as AIG/American General and Union Labor Life Insurance Company, where she served in the capacity as an auditor for local unions and third-party administrators.
“I became familiar with Kia Buckner and Michael Horsey while working for M&T, in fact, both Kia and Michael served as mentors to me throughout my years in the accounting practice,” said Isis Williams Executive Director of HBH. “I’ve been watching HBH closely over the past two years and knew I wanted to be a part of one of the fastest growing accounting firms in the Greater Philadelphia region. I’m looking forward to working with our clients and helping them reach their full potential.”
Isis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from Rutgers University and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Temple University. Isis serves on the Supervisory Committee to the Board of Directors of the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union.
